No Cash Then Sex Will Do

James Harvey Tipler was known as an attorney who would help clients if they were down on their luck.
No cash to pay? No problem. But it was the Bay County lawyer's flexible payment plans with several two women that cost him his career Thursday.
Tipler admitted to having sex with an 18-year-old client who he said paid him in sex for his work on an assault case.
The fee for the defense was about $2,300, but Tipler told the woman every time she had sex with him, he would knock off $200.
She would get a $400 discount if she brought a friend.
Tipler sealed his fate with the state Supreme Court when he pleaded guilty to prostitution charges from the sex credit scheme.
The justices also found in other cases he altered evidence, caused a witness to give false testimony, charged excessive fees and stole clients' money.
