Every year, thousands of tourists descend on South Beach for Urban Beach Week during the Memorial Day weekend. While Miami Beach is no stranger to huge influxes of visitors, some say the aggressive measures city officials and police use to insure order is maintained is excessive.

Urban Beach Week brings thousands of revelers and celebrities -- looking to relax and have fun during the long Memorial Day weekend -- to Miami Beach. The clubs were packed with celebrities.

Huge crowds of people came to South Beach, Miami from all over the United States. Some flew, some drove, but they all made sure they get here before the party started.
Starting as early as Wednesday, before the Memorial Day Weekend, people started to arrive to South Beach. Almost every nightclub had celebrity appearances in their clubs during this weekend. Those who could not get into the nightclubs took the party to the streets.

Memorial Day Weekend at South Beach is something that you either LOVE IT or HATE IT. A lot of locals actually not too thrilled about the kind of activities go on at the beach during this holiday. Streets get trashed and properties get damaged.

For the most part, things went relatively smooth this year. Less then 150 people got arrested over the weekend, which is a huge progress comparing to past years.
